INTEC Group Awarded Contract to Build an Automated Infantry Platoon Battle Course (AIPBC) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky

INTEC Group, LLC. announced today that it was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for $6,105,867 to build an Automated Infantry Platoon Battle Course (AIPBC) at Ft. Campbell, KY.

Under the contract from the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, INTEC Group will build a battle course featuring a total of 71 targets: stationary infantry targets, stationary armor targets with battle effects simulator, one moving target, machinegun-observation bunkers equipped with sound effects simulator, simulation devices, moving infantry targets, and trench obstacle to ensure optimal training for the infantry platoons. Total of approximately 54 acres.

In addition to the battle course, there are other necessary site improvements that include the range operations control area, range tower, classroom building, operations/storage building, bleacher enclosure, covered mess, ammunition breakdown building, and latrine. Supporting facilities include electrical service, site improvements, storm drainage, and information systems.

This Infantry Platoon Battle Course is used to train and test infantry platoons, either mounted or dismounted, on the skills necessary to conduct tactical movement techniques, detect, identify, engage and defeat stationary and moving infantry and armor targets in a tactical array. All targets are fully automated, and the event specific target scenario is computer driven and scored from the range operation center. The range operating system is fully capable of providing immediate performance feedback to the using participants.

“We are very proud to have been chosen by USACE for this important project, that will help train our troops and support the Army mission”, said Ines Rivas-Hutchins, President and Owner of INTEC Group.
