INTEC Group Accepted into the SBA 8(a) Program

Paducah, KY – INTEC Group, LLC is proud to announce its acceptance into the United States Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program. Entrance into the SBA’s 8(a) business development program was granted after INTEC Group completed a rigorous application process to ensure that it met the standards for entering this coveted federal program.

According to a Small Business Administration report from 2019, 8(a) firms were awarded $30.3 billion in federal contracts, including $9.5 billion in 8(a) set-aside awards and $9.3 billion in 8(a) sole-source awards. 8(a) Program eligibility is generally limited to small businesses “unconditionally owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who are of good character and citizens of and residing in the United States” that demonstrate “potential for success.” This certification has a nine-year lifespan and allows participants to compete for set-aside and sole-sourced federal contracts.

“This is an exciting opportunity for INTEC Group,” said Ines Rivas-Hutchins, President and Owner.  “With this certification we will have access to resources and support to expand our business and continue to deliver the highest quality services and solutions to our customers and to the federal government.”
